Ngày 10/05/2023, ông Lê Minh Hoan – Bộ trưởng Bộ NN&PTNT, ông Huỳnh Quốc Việt – phó bí thư Tỉnh ủy, Chủ Tịch UBND tỉnh Cà Mau cùng đoàn lãnh đạo các Bộ, Ban, Ngành, đã đến thăm và làm việc tại Khu phức hợp sản xuất tôm giống công nghệ cao Việt Úc Cà Mau. Tại đây, đoàn đã vào thăm quan và lắng nghe báo cáo về chương trình nghiên cứu, chọn giống Tôm sú bố mẹ Việt Úc.

From the success of the Parent Shrimp program, Viet Uc continued to research the Parent Tiger Shrimp program. In 2015, Viet Uc was officially approved by the Directorate of Fisheries for this program. Since 2017, the program has been officially implemented in Ca Mau
The great advantage of this program is that the generations of Parent Tiger Shrimp are selected to be disease-free with increasingly superior adaptation and growth characteristics through each generation. Specifically:
- Parent Black Tiger Shrimp are 100% disease-free compared to natural TMB sources with a disease infection rate of more than 80%
- Better adapted to local soil and environment because the program was researched and selected in Vietnam. In particular, Ca Mau is the place with the largest black tiger shrimp farming output in the country.
- Growth rate is 60 to 70% higher than natural TMB sources
Thanks to these outstanding characteristics, generations of quality black tiger shrimp breeds are born. In particular, it can be raised in a variety of models and densities. From industrial farming to extensive farming, improved extensive farming.
In addition to investing in the production of Black Tiger Shrimp breeds, since 2014, Viet Uc Ca Mau has invested in a high-tech white-leg shrimp breed production area with a scale of 50 hectares, applying many outstanding technologies. The ultimate goal is to provide the market with quality shrimp seed, thereby contributing to improving efficiency and profits for farmers.
Through the visit, the Minister highly appreciated the investment and dedication of Viet Uc Group for the industry. With the strategic orientation: Closing the shrimp industry value chain, Viet Uc contributes to the sustainable development of the industry by laying a solid foundation for the entire chain with research on selecting source breeds of whiteleg shrimp, tiger prawn, and pangasius. This is the sustainable direction for the industry. In addition, the Minister also expects that with the orientation: For a sustainable high-tech Vietnamese shrimp industry, Viet Uc will continue to spread sustainable values to the environment and to the community. These are the values that today’s smart markets and consumers always aim for.
