In 2022, seafood exports reached a record of nearly 11 billion USD, up 23% compared to 2021. Key products all grew compared to 2021. Of which, shrimp accounted for the largest proportion of 40% with over 4.3 billion USD.
Vietnam has many favorable conditions to develop the shrimp farming and processing industry for export. With favorable weather conditions, shrimp can be raised year-round, helping processing enterprises maintain regular operations.
