Viet Uc spreads sustainable high-tech shrimp farming solutions at Vietshrimp 2023 fair

The shrimp industry has played an important role in exporting Vietnamese seafood to the world over the past two decades. To elevate Vietnamese shrimp, Viet Uc has shared solutions “For a sustainable high-tech Vietnamese shrimp industry”. At the Vietshrimp fair, the brand continues to spread this message to domestic and foreign visitors.

At the Vietshrimp International Exhibition from April 12 to 14, Viet Uc Group also continued to spread this message to domestic and foreign visitors.

High-tech solutions towards sustainable development

One of the important factors to help the industry develop sustainably is to ensure strict control in each area from input to output.

Viet Uc Group is preparing to complete the closed value chain of the shrimp industry from parent shrimp to shrimp seeds, commercial shrimp and the final product is the perfect shrimp on the consumer’s table. This is the lever to help improve quality, thereby raising the brand value of Vietnamese shrimp in the international market.

In each area of the closed value chain, Viet Uc has invested carefully from facilities to superior technologies from many countries to improve production efficiency, ensure quality control, disease, and biosafety.

From foreign visitors to farmers, everyone supports the message of high-tech shrimp farming and aiming for sustainable values at the Vietshrimp fair.

Sustainable for the entire industry and the environment

Viet Uc is the pioneer corporation in Vietnam that can proactively source local parent shrimp. From there, it limits shrimp imports from abroad, minimizing risks due to supply disruptions. This is an important factor in ensuring stability for the industry, not only in terms of output but also in controlling the quality of seed sources.

Thanks to that, Viet Uc continuously improves the quality of shrimp seeds through each generation to bring peace of mind to shrimp farmers, stabilizing efficiency and profits through each season.

Spreading technological solutions from proactive source of parent shrimp to high-tech shrimp seed production of Viet Uc at Vietshrimp fair.

Sustainable for shrimp farmers – orientation of completely not using antibiotics

In addition, Viet Uc, with the orientation of completely not using antibiotics throughout the shrimp life cycle, has been and is continuing to spread this message to farmers across the country.

The use of antibiotics brings immediate benefits but long-term harm, even directly to farmers. Typically, the use of antibiotics also kills both harmful and beneficial bacteria, causing an imbalance in the ecosystem in the farming environment, creating strains of drug-resistant bacteria, causing drug resistance, when shrimp get sick, it will be very difficult to treat. The more antibiotics are used in the pond, the more diseases in the following crops will increase, causing long-term damage, leading to continuous failure. In addition, many export shipments are returned due to antibiotic residues, affecting the image, brand, reducing the reputation and value of Vietnamese shrimp in general.

Currently, Viet Uc Group is implementing sustainable VUS shrimp farming models. In which the letter “S” is the abbreviation of the word Sustainable – meaning sustainable. The highlight of this model is that the farming process limits water changes, the farming process does not use antibiotics, chemicals… thereby avoiding impacts on the environment. Viet Uc also spreads this orientation to shrimp farmers nationwide to join hands in shrimp farming to protect the environment, which is also to protect water resources, directly affecting each crop of farmers.

Sustainable for the community and consumers

Finally, Viet Uc is preparing to close the entire chain with the Viet Uc Seafood Factory for the output of perfect shrimp, ensuring: Clean, completely antibiotic-free, food safety, traceability, with superior color and flavor.

This is the key to help enhance the brand value of Vietnamese shrimp in the international market.

At the Vietshrimp fair, in order to help visitors from far away who do not have the conditions to visit the complexes in each section of the closed chain from parent shrimp to the output of perfect shrimp. Viet Uc Group has brought visitors the experience of VR360 technology, so that they can directly visit each area without having to spend time going there.

Visitors can experience through VR360 glasses an online tour of the closed shrimp industry chain from parent shrimp to the output of perfect Vietnamese-Australian shrimp at Vietshrimp.

Viet Uc Group wishes to spread the message: For a sustainable high-tech Vietnamese shrimp industry to shrimp farmers, associations, communities… to join hands to contribute to realizing the aspiration of raising the level of Vietnamese shrimp and sustainable development for the entire industry.
