“Solving the shrimp farming problem” with science: Viet Uc launches the VU-S26 Four-Super Team, spreading its influence to Central and Northern Vietnam.

Following its successful launch in Can Tho on March 22, 2026, the Viet Uc Group’s VU-S26 Super Team continued its expansion to customers in the Central and Northern regions with the event: “From Laboratory Research to Prosperous Shrimp Farms” held in Da Nang on April 5th.

These are not simply new product lines; they are seen as a practical solution to the problem that shrimp farmers have always pondered: how to raise shrimp more stably, reduce risks, and optimize efficiency in each season and at each time.

Unveiling the “VU-S26 Super Team”: 4 shrimp strains – 4 solutions for each pond.

The highlight of the event was the appearance of the VU-S26 Team – where each shrimp strain is developed as a unique solution, suitable for different real-world farming conditions.

The Super Durable strain is developed for farming areas with frequently fluctuating environments. Its high adaptability and ability to maintain stable shrimp health reduce management pressure, especially during periods of adverse weather conditions like those in Central and Northern Vietnam.

The Super 60 strain stands out with its rapid growth rate, reaching 40 shrimp per kilogram after 60 days of farming. This advantage allows farmers to be more proactive in predicting yield, planning harvests, and optimizing economic efficiency from the beginning of the season.

The Super Resistant strain focuses on the key factor of each farming season: survival rate. With better resistance to pathogens, this shrimp strain helps farmers minimize risks and increase peace of mind throughout the farming cycle.

The Ultra-Low Salinity strain opens up opportunities for efficient farming in low-salinity areas, while still ensuring growth rates equivalent to high-salinity environments. This is a noteworthy solution in the context of changing water conditions in many regions.

It can be seen that the difference of the VU-S26 Four-Super Team lies not in creating a shrimp strain “suitable for all ponds,” but in building a system…ác dòng tôm phù hợp với từng điều kiện cụ thể giúp người nuôi lựa chọn đúng giải pháp ngay từ đầu.

The Scientific and Technological Foundation That Makes the Difference for the VU-S26 Super Four Team

The superior traits of the shrimp lines in the VU-S26 Super Four Team are not the result of chance, but the fruit of a genetic research process spanning over 20 years. Behind each shrimp line is a system of genetic data accumulated, analyzed, and selected over many generations. Viet Uc has applied Genomics technology combined with artificial intelligence (AI) to deeply analyze the DNA of each individual, thereby improving the accuracy of the breeding process. Thanks to this foundation, breeding has made significant progress: blood relationships are determined more accurately, survival rates can be assessed down to the individual level instead of just at the family level, and individuals with “super growth” characteristics are identified and effectively included in the selection program. More importantly, key traits such as growth, adaptability, and resistance are no longer improved individually, but simultaneously, creating the necessary balance for effective practical farming.

unveils the secrets behind the breakthrough achievements of the VU-S26 Four Super Team.

From the South to the Central and Northern regions – Solutions for each farming area.

The launch in Can Tho, followed by Da Nang, is not just a journey to introduce a new product, but also clearly demonstrates Viet Uc’s direction: bringing solutions closer to each farming region, tailored to the specific conditions from South to North – where each pond has its own unique story and challenges.

In the context of the increasingly volatile shrimp industry, from environmental factors and diseases to costs, developing broodstock based on science and data is no longer an option, but a crucial factor. The appearance of the VU-S26 Super Team is therefore not only a step forward for Viet Uc, but also opens up a new approach for the entire industry, where each farming season is built on the right broodstock, the right conditions, and the right solution.

For farmers, the change lies not in theory, but in practice: from relying on experience and luck, they can now be more proactive with verified data. Better survival rates, clearer seasonal production plans, and gradually reduced risks.

From the laboratory to the pond, the journey of the VU-S26 Super Team is not just about one achievement, but about making science a “companion” for farmers across Vietnam. And when each step of the farmers is supported by a more solid foundation, that journey is not just about shrimp farming, but about taking steps towards prosperity for each season, each farming region, and the entire Vietnamese shrimp industry.

Despite his overseas success, Mr. Van always harbored a deep desire to return to Vietnam and contribute to its growth. In the early 2000s, he took on a new challenge in a completely unfamiliar field — aquaculture — and founded Viet Uc Seafood Group. Driven by the mission to elevate Vietnam’s shrimp industry to global standards, he brought with him world-class knowledge, experience, and unwavering determination.

He spearheaded the establishment of Vietnam’s first and only broodstock shrimp breeding program, enabling the country to produce high-quality shrimp seed stock, reduce dependence on imports, and enhance national competitiveness. His philosophy is clear: in any sector he enters, the goal is not just to lead the market, but to create value that elevates the entire industry.

With the mindset that “Only when farmers succeed, do we truly succeed,” he has heavily invested in research, technology, and a fully integrated shrimp value chain. Under his leadership, Viet Uc has grown to become a dominant force in shrimp seed production and a pioneer in sustainable aquaculture — edging Vietnam closer to becoming a top global shrimp exporter.

As Chairman, Van has guided Viet Uc Seafood Corporation to build a comprehensive aquaculture ecosystem with nearly 2,000 employees, holding over 30% market share in shrimp seed. The group continues to pursue its mission of “Elevating Vietnamese Shrimp” — pushing the industry forward through technology, innovation, and sustainable development.
